What is SueroViv?

By now, we have all been hearing a lot about Jordan Rubin’s new company, Beyond Organic. But what are the products and why are they different? Over the next few weeks, I will try to help you to really understand what Jordan is trying to accomplish and why it is just so exciting!

SueroViv starts with the cheese making process, so I will start with that. Jordan has been shopping for and buying cattle that do not have the genetic tag to produce A1 Casein, which has been tied to many unpleasant diseases. He is then raising these cattle on an all green diet – no grain, so no GMO. He is milking them just as much as their bodies will naturally allow without grain supplementation. He is using no antibiotics, vaccinations, hormones or other chemicals. He is then low temperature treating the milk so that the vitamins and proteins in the milk are not destroyed.

Now, we have the milk. Then, when you make cheese, you pour the milk into a cheese press which has cracks around the edges of the bottom to let the milk run slowly out. But before you pour in the milk, you line the cheese press with cheese cloth. The cheese cloth catches the milk solids while letting the liquid part of the milk run out. Over time, you use more pressure to press more and more of the liquid out of the milk, leaving only the solids, or cheese, in the press.

This water that runs out of the milk when the solids are removed, is the whey. As far back as we can find historical record, the whey has been very highly prized because of the healing properties that it possesses. It has been called “healing waters”.

Well, we all know that Jordan Rubin is all about probiotics. Anything that can be done to increase the number of probiotics and natural foods in our diet is great with Jordan, right? So, he wanted to make a probiotic water. Makes sense. If you want people to consume more probiotics put it in a drink. Witness Kombucha.

Well, Jordan came up with SueroViv. SueroViv contains:

  • The green fed cultured whey from the cheese
  • Mountain spring water
  • Organic Juices
  • Organic Honey
  • Organic Essential Oils
  • Extra Probiotic Cultures
  • Naturally occurring 125 mg Calcium per 8oz serving – 250mg Calcium per bottle
  • Naturally occurring Electrolytes along with naturally occurring Sodium

All of that makes SueroViv a very exciting drink! It is the same kind of living beverage as Coconut Water or Kombucha. It tastes great! You can send it to school with your kids for lunch and feel terrific about what they are drinking! How great would that feel?

SueroViv is great for children, elderly people, athletes, and anyone wanting to drink a healthy, satisfying, whole food probiotic beverage. I think that is just about all of us!

SueroViv will come in 3 great flavors and I, personally, am really looking forward to this drink for that 3:00 in the afternoon boost, and for after those grueling summer bike rides.

What if you are lactose intolerant? Good question. We will have to wait and see for sure, but Jordan is creating his cheeses and his Amasai so the the lactose is broken down in the culture process. I tried his Amasai at conference and I didn’t have any trouble with it. And I can’t do anything that comes from a cow, at all! So I have very high hopes that the Amasai, Cheeses and SueroViv will work for my sensitive stomach. Just 3 more weeks to find out!!
