The Potassium/Sodium Connection and Sueroviv

by Gail Bowman and Theodore Nelson

The American diet is far too high in salt, and we hear that all the time from our doctors.  The problem with too much salt is that water molecules bind to salt molecules in our cells causing water retention.  Swelling due to water retention involves the enlargement of organs, skin, or other body structures. It is caused by excessive build up of fluid in the tissues. This build up can lead to a rapid increase in weight. Swelling can occur throughout the body or it may be limited to a specific part of the body. Conditions that may be related to  fluid retention include heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, and even premenstrual syndrome.  Plus, toxins are then attracted to the water in our cells.  So, too much water, too many toxins.

Did you know that when someone is poisoned, they often gain a weird amount of weight very quickly?  Water build up traps toxins and cells store them and you suddenly gain weight.

Does that mean we should drink less water?  No, actually, pure water, not tea or coke or  other caffeinated beverage, is also a good way to help pull the toxic water out of your cells.

So, we just stop eating salt, right.  No, we can’t do that either.  We actually need sodium.  Low sodium levels can cause fatigue, headaches, muscle weakness, nausea, irritability, restlessness and vomiting, even convulsions.

We have to have sodium in our diet, but we need reasonable amounts.  We also need it to be in the correct balanced relationship with other minerals,  to remain healthy.  These other minerals include magnesium, calcium and potassium.  So, you should just take a mineral supplements, right?  Actually, the body has a very hard time utilizing mineral supplements unless they are in a food format.  I tell my customers, if you swallow an ISP vitamin/mineral supplement, your body has to decide what to do with it.  So your body looks at it and says, is it food or is it poison?  Well, with vitamins and minerals that are not in the form of foods, your body will often call them poisons.  So, they hit your kidneys and the hit your liver, and they line your veins but they do not get taken into your body to be the nutrition that you were hoping for.

This is a serious problem.  Where can you get the right amounts of minerals, in the right balance, in a food source that is easy for your body to utilize?  Well, you could educate yourself on what you need and eat just the right foods to give you the minerals you need.  For instance, you need 4700 mg of potassium per day.  You could eat 10 bananas and be all good for that one.  Mmmm. Magnesium is 400 mg, so we could just go with 18 cups of broccoli.  Not me thanks.

And why should you really worry about minerals anyway?

The correct relationship between the different minerals in your body regulates the toxins in your body, the amount of water that you are retaining, the way that your hormones are released and regulated, and the way that your muscles expand and contract; pretty much everything that goes on in your body is tied to the relationship between the different minerals and how those minerals interact with the fluids in your body.

Potassium, for instance, needs to be in the correct relationship to sodium.  If you have too much sodium, you retain fluids.   The correct amount of Potassium will draw the sodium and water, with the toxins they are holding, out of our cells.  Think about that.  If you are having trouble losing weight, it may be that your fat cells are retaining toxin bearing water that could be flushed out if you corrected the potassium to sodium ratio in your system!

So take a pill, right?  You are more likely to poison your body than help it with a potassium pill.  Besides, you would have to take 47 pills to get the right amount of potassium, and you are still not going to be balanced with sodium, calcium and magnesium.

Sueroviv, on the other hand,  is made from the whey from milk that is grown and processed safely.  I mean by that, that the cattle are not given antibiotics, pesticides, hormones or gmos, so there will be none of that junk in the whey.

Sueroviv contains high levels of electrolytes, including Potassium, sodium,  magnesium and calcium, in the correct relationship to each other to bind to the excess sodium that you have in your body.  So, drinking Sueroviv is actually like taking a scrub brush to your cells, removing excess water that is holding on to those old toxins that are keeping you from being healthy and losing weight.

I don’t know about you, but once we found out about this, my husband and I are all over Sueroviv.

One of the keys of SueroViv is the amount of potassium to sodium.  There are 223 mgs of potassium to 49 mgs of sodium in 8 ounces.  SueroViv comes in 16 ounce bottles and if you were playing a hard tennis match and you need these 2 key minerals for your endurance you could drink 1-3 bottles and you would have a huge advantage over someone who was drinking another sports drink or only water.  My daughter played tennis for 4 hours a day at John Newcombs tennis center in New Braunfels Texas, and from spring to fall I wished I had Suero Viv for her.  I used to tell her that who ever runs out of sodium or potassium first loses when you have to play weekend tournaments and as many as 5 matches.  SueroViv can be used  for any sport where you are doing high endurance training or strength training.

Now, I have people all the time that tell me that they can’t drink Sueroviv because there is too much sugar in it.    8 oz of Sueroviv contains 60 calories.  Personally, I can consume 60 calories if I just look at a muffin.  Really.

I teach people not to load more than 30 grams of carbohydrates at any one meal.  So if you need a drink that has 15 grams a cup, and that sugar is from honey, Sueroviv is a great way for you to keep your blood sugar level normal without major dips or blood sugar spikes because you loaded too much sugar at a time.  This drink is also great for a coffee break or for any hard bursting exercise.

For those that don’t want to consume the honey or sugar that is in Sueroviv, there is a new one coming out called Sueroviv Gold.  Personally, I can’t wait.  Not because of the sugar, but because I my crazy stomach has some trouble with the citrus oils in Sueroviv.  Sueroviv Gold will be the straight stuff.  Like plain yogurt, only just the whey.

Also, essential oils are key in helping the body with antioxidants that are off the charts.  When you look at the studies of lemon, orange, and cinnamon essential oils, what were done in France, you see very quickly they are great for the immune system, blood sugar handing, and fighting microbes at the cellular level.

Jordon put cultured whey in this product.  No matter what pro-sports nutritionist you listen to, you will hear about the value of whey protein.  Whey protein is full of branch chain amino acids which help the cells repair and cleanse at their very best.  To think you have a predigested whey protein, because of the probiotic fermentation process, you have the best predigested  whey protein around.  Predigested means that the amino acids are available with very little digestion.  For this reason, Sueroviv is perfect for the elderly who can’t digest their food very well and for young kids who don’t handle milk products very well. In addition, this line of products does not contain the A1 Casein that is so hard for kids to digest.  What I am saying is this is  drink that is much much better than milk and soft drinks.  A mom’s dream come true.

And if you want to do the Sueroviv cleanse and really get out that scrub brush to get that nasty, dirty water out of your cells, here it is:  You drink 8 oz of Sueroviv every hour for the first 12 hours of your day.  Then you eat a light meal, like a salad or an Amasai for dinner.  Do this for 3 days and you will sparkle with fresh clean cells and that great feeling that you get when you do something really great for your body.

So whether you are a strength athlete, endurance athlete, young child, teen ager, business person needing a pick me up, or the elderly that needs extra easy to digest nutrients SueroViv is for you.
