Actually, there is NO law which prohibits students from voluntarily praying, alone or with other willing students, during non-instructional time. Out loud prayer is as legally protected as any other form of speech. Students can even form after school bible clubs if they are student initiated and student run, if other non-curriculum clubs are allowed to meet.

What is NOT allowed, is MANDATORY prayer, or teacher or administrative led prayer, and think about it, would you want the school leading prayers that were of a religion other than yours ? I think the golden rule is in order here.

If you feel that your rights to pray in a public school have been violated, contact the ACLJ, an organization that protects Christian rights, you may also contact the ACLU, they will protect your rights to pray, if you are Christian or even some other religion, whereas the ACLJ specializes in Christian religious rights only.
